Monza, Italy, September 5, 2022- 17-year-old American Driver, Hunter Yeany will return to racing for the upcoming FIA Formula 3 Championship round at Monza.

Yeany’s rookie season driving for Campos Racing in the FIAF3 Championship was interrupted following a collision at the Austrian GP at Spielberg, resulting in a broken wrist which Yeany underwent surgery to repair. The required rehabilitation period resulted in the American missing rounds at both Spa-Francorchamps and Zandvoort, but allowed Yeany the time for a full recovery. The rookie will rejoin Campos at Monza in top physical condition and ready to take on the final round of the FIAF3 Championship.

“I’m excited to rejoin my team and get back in the seat this week at Monza. Experiencing a broken wrist and surgery mid-season was tough, but I pushed through and am happy to be on the other side. I am grateful to everyone who supported me and helped me get back to this place especially my family and friends, Thomas J. Fischer, M.D. Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center, who did my surgery, Allison at VHP for my rehab, Harry Soden at Infinity Sports Management, Dan Mitchell from VRD and of course Adrian Campos and the whole team at Campos Racing. I spoke to my engineer this morning and I am looking forward to getting behind the wheel and getting back to work with the team this week.” – Hunter Yeany
